What is New at BLDC
On January 7, 2018, the BLDC hosted our annual 35 Buddha Purification Ceremony. The practice is a beautiful way to purify our past karma of body, speech, and mind. This is an excellent way to start the year, and a reminder to take more positive actions this year than perhaps the last. The Ceremony is a powerful way to bring in the New Year with great spiritual blessings and vast amounts of merit and virtue.
In November of 2017, we are proud to say that we have received enough donations to give our tele-communications technology a major upgrade. We are now very fortunate to be able to receive Dharma talks from Lama Chokyi through a clear internet connection on a 30 inch monitor. The new technology setup makes it much easier and more natural to communicate with Lama via Facetime. Ultimately, this will allow us to offer more classes and clearer Dharma talks for everyone. Thanks to all who donated their time and money!
Visiting Teachers in the St. Louis Area
Lama Lodu Rinpoche was in St. Louis at the local KDK Buddhism Center from December 2 - Dec 11, 2017. Some BLDC sangha members were fortunate enough to be able to attend his teachings on compassion and Chenrezig empowerment.
